Sample report — "client portal software"
Other validators give you a number. Squsha shows its source.
Same niche, same three questions. On the left, the kind of answer an AI validator writes. On the right, what the Squsha sample report says, and where each figure came from.
How big is the market?
“The client portal market is worth $4.8B and growing 14.2% a year.”
No source given
$492.9B for every US software publisher, and the report says plainly that this is a ceiling, not your market.
- US Census Economic Census 2022
- Software Publishers (NAICS 5132), total receipts
- Labelled “the whole industry, not this niche”
What do competitors charge?
“Competitors typically charge between $20 and $200 per month.”
No source given
SuiteDash from $19/mo, Copilot from $39/mo, Clinked from $77/mo.
- Their own pricing pages, read during the run
- suitedash.com/pricing · copilot.com/pricing · Clinked
- A page that can't be read says “Not disclosed”
Is demand growing?
“Demand: High (8/10). Interest in client portals is growing fast.”
No source given
Search interest up 52.6% over twelve months, averaging 61/100.
- Google Trends, last 12 months
- The only rising query: “secure client portal software”
- If Trends can't be reached, it says “Not measured”, never 0
The left column is illustrative: the kind of answer AI validators commonly give, not a quote from any one product. The right column is quoted from our sample report, run in September 2026. Check every figure in the sample report →
Why validate first
Eight minutes of research can save months on the wrong idea.
- Months in before you learn if anyone searches for it
- A niche the big players already own
- Guessing who your audience is
- Generic AI opinions, nothing checked
- Demand, competition and growth before day one
- The gaps big players left open
- Your audience and their real pain points
- Trends caught on the way up

Indie founders & solopreneurs
Pressure-test a niche before you spend your evenings on it.
SaaS founders
Size the demand, map the incumbents' pricing and find the segment they miss, before you write any code.
Lean Canvas users
Export the findings onto the nine boxes and check the canvas you wrote against what the market actually says.
Consultants & agencies
Eight-minute research, delivered as white-label reports and private client links.
Real signals, read for you

Angles you can act on
Client-ready output
Doesn't go stale
“Isn’t this just ChatGPT with extra steps?”
Partly, yes. The writing is done by the same kind of model you can chat with for free. What changes is the job it's given:
It isn't asked what it knows. It's handed the evidence, told what it may not say, and checked afterwards. Read the full comparison, including where the chatbot wins →
The report tells you when it doesn't know
Every AI tool sounds confident. What counts is what it does when the data isn't there.
Every competitor shows where it came from
Found in your run's live search: From live search. Recalled by the AI from memory: Unverified.
Missing data says missing
A source that can't be reached is named in the report, and a gap is never shown as a zero.
Prices come from their own pricing page
Read live during your run. If the page can't be read, it says Not disclosed instead of guessing.
It will tell you not to build
Scores use the full 0–100 range. A deal-breaker is marked High, not softened into a caveat.
Know where they're weak before you build
Every report answers five questions about the companies already in your market, and marks which answers real users said out loud.
-
1
Who's already there
Up to ten competitors from your run's live search, each stamped with where it came from. No rival turns up after you've built.
-
2
What they charge
Prices read from each company's own pricing page, so you set yours against the real market, not a guess.
-
3
What they already offer Full report
A feature grid where every tick quotes the words it was read from. See what's table stakes and what nobody has.
-
4
Where they're weak
Up to three gaps per competitor, marked Reported when users said it in a thread or review, Inferred when it's our reading.
-
5
How hard it is to get in
A threat level for each competitor, the entry barrier, what protects the big players, and where a newcomer can still dig in.
Example market: client portal software. Names, prices and features as listed on each company's site on 7 October 2026. The gaps, barrier and opening are illustrative, not findings about these companies.

One number tells you if the niche is worth it
Every report opens with a 0–100 Opportunity Score, built from the same live data as the rest. Three quarters is the read on demand, growth, competition and monetization. The last quarter is evidence strength, counted in code rather than judged: pain points people actually wrote, competitor weaknesses they reported, and how much the community is talking.

Questions, answered
The ones people ask before their first report.
Are you going to steal my idea?
No: we sell research, not ideas, and you keep every right to your brief and the report it produces. Both are encrypted before they're stored, our admin tools can't display them, and they're never used to train a model or shown to another account. The brief goes only to Anthropic, which writes the analysis, while the search providers see a short search phrase instead — see how it's handled.
My idea is still rough. Is that enough?
Yes, a sentence or two is enough to start. Before anything runs, a free review checks whether your brief names a topic, an audience and an angle clearly enough to search well, and tells you what would sharpen it. It's advice, not a gate: you can generate on any verdict.
How long do I keep my reports?
Each report is kept for 21 days, with an email five days before it expires, so download the PDF if you want a permanent copy. After that its content is deleted and only the topic and date stay in My Reports. A niche you track monthly is kept for as long as you track it.
What if a report goes wrong?
If a run fails, the credit comes back automatically. If a report is materially broken, with sections missing, an empty output or plainly the wrong market, tell us within 7 days and we'll regenerate or refund it. A finished report isn't refunded for its conclusions, but unused credits are refundable in full within 14 days of purchase.
Can I use a report in a pitch deck or for clients?
Yes, it's yours to use anywhere, from investor decks to client work. Just keep its Unverified labels and its not-advice notice intact, and don't present it as Squsha endorsing your venture.
Does it work with my Lean Canvas?
Yes. Every paid report exports a one-page Lean Canvas filled in from its findings: the problems people describe, the segments, the positioning, the channels, the price band, the costs and the first metrics to watch, with each box naming the report section it came from. Use it to check the canvas you wrote from your own head against what the market actually says.
