FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Still not sure? Here are the most common questions.

What's inside a niche report?
Reports are built from up to 20 sections, depending on your plan. Every plan gets the Opportunity Score with a Build/Refine/Avoid verdict, plus the core eight sections: Market Overview, Top Competitors, Audience Persona, Opportunity Gaps, Trending Topics, Recommended Angles, Risk Factors and Moat Analysis, and a preview of Community: its two most-evidenced pain points. A paid report — bought with a credit or generated on a Consultant plan — adds the rest — all of Community (every pain point, plus what the audience asks for, doubts and praises, and where they say it), Product-Market Fit, Build Feasibility, Category Timing, Market Size & Reach, Suggested Positioning, Distribution Channel scoring, Search Difficulty, the Content Plan, Monetization Paths, a Pricing Recommendation and the 120-Day Execution Roadmap — plus a feature-by-feature grid inside Top Competitors that grades the features you described against each competitor's own pages. The full report is generated in about eight minutes from live Google Trends, search, YouTube, Reddit, Quora, Hacker News, Indie Hackers and X data, G2, Trustpilot and Product Hunt listings, open-source projects on GitHub, iOS apps on the App Store, SEC filings and US and Canadian government statistics, plus AI analysis.
Can I cancel my subscription any time?
Yes. No contracts, no lock-in. Cancel from your account page and you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. Cancelling deletes nothing early: each report keeps its usual 21 days, and a tracked one gets its 21 days from when tracking stops.
How is the Opportunity Score assigned?
In two parts. Three quarters is a weighted blend of four dimensions — Demand (30%), Growth (25%), Competition headroom (25%) and Monetization (20%) — each rated 0–100 from live data collected at generation time, where higher always means more favorable for entering now. The last quarter is evidence strength, counted in code rather than judged: pain points people actually wrote, competitor weaknesses a real thread or review named, community activity, opportunity gaps traced to a measured search, and how severe the risks are. A source that could not be reached is left out, never scored as silence. 70+ reads as Build, 40–69 as Refine your angle first, below 40 as Avoid.
What happens when I hit my monthly report limit?
You'll see a clear message explaining you've reached your quota. Your existing reports stay available. You can upgrade your plan immediately to keep generating.
How do credits work?
One credit buys one full report — all 20 sections, PDF included — and that is the whole rule. Buy them one at a time or in packs of up to five (the price per report drops as the pack grows), and they sit in your account until you use them: no expiry, no subscription, no card kept on file. A monthly plan allowance is always spent before a credit, so a credit is never burned while you still have a report included. Your free report works the other way round: a credit is used first, so what you paid for is always the full report, and the free one is kept for later. If a run fails, the credit goes straight back.
How does monthly tracking work, and what does it cost?
Pick any finished paid report, hit Track monthly, and it re-runs every 30 days. From the second run onward every report opens with what actually moved since the last one — the Opportunity Score and its sub-scores, search interest, competitors who appeared or dropped out, and search terms that got harder or easier. Two plans reach it, and they pay for the re-runs differently. On Satellite the re-runs are what you are buying: up to 5 niches at once, each re-run included in the monthly price, and never a report credit — your credits stay untouched for the new reports you start yourself. On Consultant you can track up to 10 niches, and each re-run counts as one of your 100 monthly reports, exactly like generating one by hand; if that allowance is already used up when a refresh is due, the month is skipped, we email you to say so, and it tries again next cycle. Nothing is charged for a skipped month. Stop any niche at any time — the reports it already produced stay in your history.
What is the Satellite plan, and do I still need credits?
Satellite is an add-on, not a replacement. It turns on monthly tracking for up to 5 of your reports and includes every re-run, but it does not come with an allowance of new reports — you still buy those with credits, at the same prices as before. So the shape is: buy a report with a credit, decide it is a niche worth watching, add Satellite, and it re-runs itself every 30 days from then on without spending another credit. You can only track a paid report; the free preview report cannot be tracked. Cancel whenever you like — tracking stops at the end of the period you have paid for, your credits are unaffected, and every report already generated stays in your history.
What is the Public Client Portal?
Consultant users can share any report via a branded web link — clients view it online with your logo and business name, no account needed. You can disable the link at any time; re-enabling it restores the exact same URL so bookmarks still work.
Does a report guarantee success?
No. A report is a market analysis, and its recommendations are the outcome of evaluating that analysis — a more structured and accurate version of the research you would otherwise do by hand. It sharpens your decision; it doesn't replace it.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes, on both subscriptions. Paid annually you get twelve months for the price of ten — two months free — and nothing else about the plan changes: Consultant keeps the same 100 reports a month throughout, and Satellite the same five tracked niches with every re-run included. Flip the Monthly/Annual switch above the plans to see both. Report credits are unaffected either way: a pack is charged once and never renews.
What payment methods do you accept?
Checkout is run by Paddle, our merchant of record, and works globally — including Turkey. You can pay with Visa, Mastercard and other major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. Your card details go straight to Paddle and never touch our servers.
Is my report data private?
Yes. Reports are private by default and only visible to you. Consultant users can optionally share individual reports via a secure link — sharing is opt-in and can be revoked at any time.
Which sources are scanned?
Every report is built from live pulls made at the moment you generate it, never from a stored dataset: Google Trends for twelve months of search interest, the top-ranking search results for the niche, YouTube channels and videos, Reddit threads, Quora questions and answers, Hacker News launches and discussions, Indie Hackers products and posts for what small founders built here and what it earns, and posts on X, found through search, for what people are saying about it; G2 and Trustpilot ratings and Product Hunt launches for how the incumbents are received; open-source projects on GitHub, and the requests their users upvote, for the free alternatives; iOS apps on the App Store, with their rating counts and critical reviews, for the competitors on mobile; each competitor's own pricing and feature pages for what they charge and advertise; SEC filings for any incumbent that is a listed company; TechCrunch articles for the press coverage the niche has drawn and the funding rounds in it; and US Census, Bureau of Labor Statistics and Statistics Canada figures for the measured size of the industry. AI reads that evidence and writes the report — where a source came back empty the report says so rather than filling the gap, and the one thing the model may add from its own knowledge, a competitor the searches missed, is marked Unverified.
